Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, high tide, shadowband not working--needs more work

Robert and I arrived at 17:20 PDT. It was sunny and clear and we could hear many red-winged blackbirds (and probably other birds). It was close to high tide; the ground under the tower was saturated and the staff gauge read 95cm around 16:35 PST.

I downloaded met, cam, and USB GHG data. I changed the eddy clock +40sec from 16:31 to 16:31:40 and restarted logging. Robert cleaned flux and rad sensors. The reservoir was 70% full; we refilled it.

I changed the 7700 heater from summer to winter hours. The old hours were 21:00 to 07:00 and the new hours are 18:00 to 08:00. The heaters prevent condensation from forming, so I extend its hours in the winter given the higher humidity and cooler temperatures.

The rotating shadowband was not spinning here either. We don't have any spare motors for today so we'll have to fix it next time.

I had planned to install porewater sippers today at 20cm and 40cm for Kyle, but the water level was too high. Next time we can plan to be here near low tide.

The 7500 read: 394ppm CO2, 748mmol/m3 H2O, 24/7C, 100.8kPa, 101--102SS after cleaning
The 7700 read: 2.05ppm CH4, did not write before cleaning – 81 RSSI after cleaning

We got to the channel around 17:40 PDT to download Flo’s data. I reset the clock, downloaded data, and restarted data collection. There were a moderate amount of drops, which was surprising since Joe had just cleared out underwater vegetation at our last visit two weeks ago.

We left around 17:55 PDT.

The wood of the upper boardwalk (at the main tower) sounds a bit creaky and should be replaced.
