Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, too windy for 7700 calibration
2023-06-15 Gilbert Tract Robert and I arrived at 16:05 PDT. It was windy and sunny; it was warm in the sun but the gusts are cool. We were planning to do the 7700 calibration today but I decided it was too windy, so we just did the regular data collection. I'll keep an eye on the wind forecast for the next few weeks for a less windy day. There were some dried-out weeds by the side of the road. The wetland looks very green. The staff gauge read 87cm at 15:10 PST. There were piles of dead ants and some live ants in the met box. I left them some mothballs. I downloaded met, cam, USB GHG, and miniDOT data. I swapped the miniDOT desiccant. Robert reported that the miniDOT was closed very tightly when he tried to open it. Robert also cleaned flux and rad sensors. I’m not sure if he topped off the wash reservoir. The 7500 read: 397ppm CO2, 770mmol/m3 H2O, 24.5C, 100.7kPa, 99SS --> 103 after cleaning The 7700 read: 2.05ppm CH4, 36RSSI –> 85 after cleaning We went to the channel to download Flo’s data around 16:25 PDT. The water level was high but it was hard to tell which way the water in the channel was flowing. There are tall cattails on the bank. I reset Flo’s clock, download its data, and restarted data collection. The pitch and roll were both within +/- 5 degrees. We left around 16:40 PDT. |
