Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, lots of weeds in channel--needs cleaning next time
2023-06-29 Gilbert Tract Alex K. and I arrived at 13:15 PDT. It was warm with hazy horizons and only a slight breeze. The staff gauge read 55cm at 12:38 PST. A CDFW truck was parked about 30m north of the tower. We could hear some splashing around but they drove away before we could ask them what they were up to. I downloaded met, cam, and USB GHG data. Alex cleaned flux and rad sensors. He also cleaned the phenocam window and said the enclosure window is a little loose. I think the wash reservoir was pretty full so we didn’t top it off. The 7500 read: 417ppm CO2, 824mmol/m3 H2O, 26.9C, 101.0kPa, 103SS --> 104 after cleaning The 7700 read: 2.18ppm CH4, 37RSSI –> 87 after cleaning After servicing the tower, we drove to the channel to download data from Flo at 13:50 PDT. There were many drops in the depth data in the past 2 weeks and we could see many weeds in the water. I put on waders and got in the water but the water level was too high to reach the sensor, even with the telescoping rake. I’ll try to time our next visit with low tide. I downloaded data, reset the clock to match the laptop clock, and restarted logging. We left at 14:10 PDT. |
