Summary: Quick stop to check power--seem ok, swapped 7500 for calibration, slightly lowered CTD sensor
2022-04-20 Hill Slough Joe and I arrived at 10:00 PDT. It was mild with a cold breeze and mostly sunny. It's hard to imagine it will start raining this evening--0.5cm is forecast for tonight into tomorrow. The water was about knee deep and ebbing. The staff gauge read 4.55ft at 9:04 PST. This was a quick stop to check on the intermittent power issues I saw last week. The data over the past week looked complete, and all the connections in the datalogger box were secure. Joe put on the waders and checked the charge controller box sn BB-HS -- all looked good there. One of the battery terminals had some corrosion - all the terminals should be cleaned and sealed before winter. Joe also sprayed the gate lock with WD-40. I downloaded met, cam, and USB GHG data. We didn't clean the sensors or check the wash reservoir. Joe took the shovel and dug a small depression under the CTD sensor to lower it a bit. It was hard to assess how much the sensor needs to be lowered when it's not low tide. We changed the 7500 for calibration: sn 75H-2669 came off and sn 0035 went up. I uploaded a new config file, updated the pressure coefficients, changed the eddy clock +45sec, and reset the box. LI-7500 readings (sn 75H-2669 --> sn 0035): CO2 423 ppm --> 422 H2O 452 mmol/m3 --> 443 T 15.4C --> 15.9 P 101.3kPa --> 101.7 SS 99 --> 99.5 LI7700 readings: CH4 1.96 RSSI 40 We left at 10:25 PDT.
