Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, windy, dfPAR noisy--power cycled CR10X
2022-02-17 Hill Slough Carlos and I arrived at 9:50 PST. It was sunny but felt cold with the brisk and bracing wind. The sky was clear and we could see the green foothills with good visibility. There were many birds flitting about: egrets, mallards, geese, and more I didn’t identify. The water level was low and we were close to low tide (the higher of the 2 low tides per day). The staff gauge read 4.08ft at 10:00 PST. I got the ladder out to climb down and give the staff gauge a good wipe. The miniDOT was still in the water but just barely by a few cm. It was only a few cm above the ground surface so I didn’t lower it anymore. Carlos cleaned flux and rad sensors and topped off the reservoir. I downloaded met, cam, and USB GHG data. dfPAR and totPAR were noisy. I cycled the power on the CR10X, which seemed to help. After the power cycle, totPAR was around 7mV and dfPAR was around 0.83mV. I uploaded a new met datalogger program to fix a typo in the Bowen-variance calculations. I accidentally used [Pa]=[kPa]/1000 initially, but now it’s corrected to [Pa]=[kPa]*1000. LI-7500 readings: CO2 416ppm H2O 280ppm T 19.0C P 102.5kPa SS 98--> 100 after cleaning LI7700 readings: CH4 1.96ppm RSSI 51 --> 72 after cleaning We left at 10:20 PST. |
