Metta and I arrived at 8:50 PDT. It was windy, sunny, and mostly clear, with low clouds to the west and north. The water level has gone down even more—you can see the channel outlines to the west of the tower. Most of the reeds were yellowing at the tips. Weeds are taking over the island west of the tower. The staff gauge read 17 cm.

The eosGP and miniDOT were out of the water again. I lowered the eosGP slightly into the water, but the miniDOT was at the end of its leash. If the low water levels continue, we should swap in a longer string.

I downloaded met, camera, and USB GHG data. I topped off the wash reservoir and cleaned flux and rad sensors. I also cleaned out the precip funnel and tipper inside the bucket—a lot of extraneous tips that need to be cleaned from the met data.

Next time I need a green scrubby pad to really clean the staff gauge. Scrubbing it with a rag makes a hole in the rag.

Sherman Wetland Temporary Tower

Metta and I arrived at 9:30 PDT. It was windy, sunny, and mostly clear, with low clouds to the west and north. There was no water under or around the tower. About ½ of the reeds have yellowing tips. There were a clump of wasps in the met box, but they were cold and not moving much.

I collect met, cam, and USB GHG data. I made sure to clear the picam after download this time. I cleaned flux and rad sensors. The wash reservoir was full.
