Summary: Everything running, Trailer CR1000 on wrong time.

Arrived about 10am. In shaded areas frost on the ground and puddles frozen. Ice along edges of ditch along road. Water in ditch very low. Field surface is wet but not muddy except in low spots. Most of the grass is yellow. Air temperature was about 3C. Clear, sunny, a little hazy, very little variable wind.

Everything was running. Pressures on both ch4 analyzers were very low (89-109Torr). On the permanent tower the 40um filter was plugged up. I swapped it out with another used filter and pressure was good. On the trailer tower, the 2um filter was plugged, I swapped it for a new 2um filter and pressure was good after adjusting bypass valve.

Also I tried a Savillex large plastic assembly with 1-2um Teflon filter paper, but this didn’t seem to have the necessary flow rate.

Isotope system was running, tube heater had power. I unplugged, disconnected all of the isotope equipment and brought it back to UCB for return to LGR.

I checked the CH4 on both analyzers with the cal gas. With cal gas flowing in slow flow mode, both analyzers reported values that were correct with in 1 or 2 ppb. So I did not calibrate.

Trailer LGR:
11:38, 1.9492ppm, 5114ppm, 386.96ppm, 10.62C, 143.25Torr, 13.729usec, 10Hz, 3172.7hr

Permanent LGR: clock one hour behind changed from 10am to 11am
11:37, 1.790ppm, 14.95C, 144.33Torr, 14.939usec, 10Hz, 5115.1hr

Copied all data and swapped cards.

Matteo reported that Trailer CR1000 is on the wrong time but I forgot to check.

Changed data logger clock sync from midnight to 00:15 to avoid double readings at midnight.

When I left about 12:30, there was still frost and ice in the shadows.
