Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, water samples for Isabel, low water level
2019-10-02 Mayberry Camilo, Ariane, and I arrived at 15:50 PDT. It was a sunny and clear day. The mud level was 12 cm (super low—1/2 the tower was standing on a mudflat). The mud was solid enough that I wasn't able to step down to find the water level. The bucket on the floating boom looked like it was hitting the mud. The bottom CO2 sensor was probably in the mud, and the top CO2/minidot and fluorometer were probably very close to the mud, if not in the mud. The wetland was about 20% yellow. There were many wasps inside the wash reservoir, so we left the cover open. The wash reservoir was ¾ full; we refilled it. Ariane collected water samples for Isabel at 15:00 PST. I collected met, cam, and USB samples. Camilo cleaned flux and rad sensors. Ariane cleaned the fluorometer. The lenses looked clean, but most of the other surfaces were covered in a gel-like algae. The 7700 desiccant needs to be replaced; we will replace it in the next few weeks when we calibrate 7700s. LI-7500 readings: CO2 403ppm H2O 325ppm T 26.6C P 101.3kPa SS 101--> 102 after cleaning LI7700 readings: CH4 1.93ppm RSSI 72--> 81 after cleaning We left at 16:20 PDT. |
