Summary: Fence repaires, download data, replace FWTCs
| 12:00 Hehn arrives clear warm & calm -Fran Vaira here today -cutting and burning dead oak limbs 100 yards from site -System running -exclosure fence down and broken in 2 places--only a week pulse being generated and analog meter not reaching full scale deflection -repair fence, battery voltage at 12.7 but still only a week pulse -cow appears to have rubbed on most everything only the Fine Wire Thermo Couples (FWTC) on the Surface Renewal Experiment (SRE) were damaged—no chewed wires -download flux and met data -replace 1 FTWC on SR experiment -Soil Heat Flux (SHF) plate on SRE not wired correctly: all leads connected to ground – move red lead to channel DE 4 hi ERROR -1 FWTC not wired correctly: change From red-hi, purple-ground, shield-lo; To red-hi, purp-lo, shield-ground -Solar regulator at Vaira indicated a fully charged set of batteries today -About 15 amp from solar panels at noon today |
