Summary: Regular data collection, Spectral data collected.
| Arrived around 13:00. The weather was sunny and clear with a moderate wind. Cleaned bugs out of soil CO2 box. Serviced CO2 profile A (8 cm) and profile C (2 cm). Collected data on soil respiration. Collected USB CAMCARD MET SOILCO2. LI7500 readings: CO2 385 -> 402 H2O 619 -> 530 T 30.4 P 101.3 SS 98.0 -> 101.9 Took vegetation height measurements and biomass samples. Vegetation Height (cm): Walking out: 24, 13, 30, 20, 17, 26, 23, 26, 42, 17 Walking back: 27, 36, 22, 18, 19, 15, 34, 14, 30, 30 Biomass Samples Heights: Sample 1 – 20 cm Sample 2 – 31 cm Sample 3 – 32 cm Sample 4 – 24 cm Sample 5 – 19 cm Took spectral data, pressing “SAVE†so the data should be stored on the SD card. The conditions were perfectly clear. First round of measurements may have been off scale. Rest the irradiance and took another set of readings. The process was to take a reference/dark measurement. Then take measurements down-up, before taking another reference/dark measurement. Attempted to take LAI measurements with LAI-2000, but readings were zero consistently. Left at around 14:00. |
