Summary: Took Li-6400 leaf level photosynthesis measurements

Joe dropped me off at East End on his way to Tonzi at around 9:30.
It was a sunny and clear day and it got very hot around noon. I wanted to test the modified conifer chamber together with the sealing putty to see if the setup works for both tule and cattail measurements in the field. I borrowed a LI-6400 from Whendee Silver's lab for this and attached our clear conifer chamber to the head.

Before starting the measurements I matched the IRGAs at 10:07 at CO2 conc 381, H2O conc 25 and a flow rate of 500. Since the instrument hadn't been used in a long time, the two IRGAs hadn't been matched in years so a couple of warnings popped up because the offsets were quite large.

I took 12 measurements in total, 6 on tule leafs and 6 on cattail leafs.
This was just a test run to see if the system worked in general so these measurements should be used with caution.

I used full bypass for both CO2 scrub and desiccant on all measurements but the first, which was set to half way between scrub and bypass for both.

The 12 measurements took about 2 hours in total. I was done at 12noon and waited for Daphne, Sam, Dennis, and Ada to pick me up around 12:45.
