Summary: Regular data collection, foggy, extensive blow down of vegetation
| Arrived at 10:50. It was cold and foggy, visibility was starting to increase but still low. A lot of the cattails have been blown down by the wind. Most are not completely immersed in water but the canopy height has been significantly reduced. The site looks very different now. The tower and solar panels are visible from quite a distance down the road where they used to be completely hidden by the vegetation. We filled the wash water reservoir, it was empty. Collected USB GHG data, collected met data and camera pictures connecting through tightVNC. Cleaned radiation sensors, cleaned EC sensors. The LI7550 box was fairly dry this time around. Still some condensation visible on the inside of the box but this is probably just left over from the massive water intrusion last time. Still not sure what could have caused that but everything seems to be fine at this point. The LI7500 and LI7700 had a lot of water on their windows from the fog. This is why the CO2 and H2O readings did not show up when we first connected. The readings improved after cleaning. LI7500 readings: CO2 ***.** → 498.72 H2O ***.** → 447.1 T 6.46 P 102.11 SS 0.002 → 101.18 LI7700 readings: CH4: 2.76 → 2.72 RSSI: 36.2 -> 65.5 after cleaning Left at 11:20. |
