Summary: Regular data collection, swapped LI7500, serviced water sensors
Arrived at 12:30. It was cold and hazy, the dense fog we observed earlier in the day was starting to clear up a little, but it was still hazy and overcast. Looks like Mayberry had some blow down of vegetation as well, like the other wetlands. The canopy height looks shorter than in the past, but it is not quite as obvious a difference as at East End or East Pond. The wash water reservoir was still full. We did not add any water. Cleaned radiation sensors, cleaned EC sensors. Collected USB GHG data, collected met data and camera pictures. - AirT read 44.83 and RH read 49.9, both these readings were off. Maybe they weren't connected correctly when the datalogger was replaced last week. - TCE(7) = NaN. Not sure which level or set this is, but there used to be one TC at the site that always read NaN, maybe it is the same one. - Rnet_tulW and Rnet_watW are both very high (~32000) if this is supposed to be net radiation in W it is wrong. Rnet_tule and Rnet_wat do show more reasonable number for net radiation in W though (~300 to 400). We collected the conductivity data, collected MiniDOT data and serviced the water sensors. Some of the metal mesh screens on the MiniDOT sensors are corroded and should probably be replaced. Now that the water level is back to normal we should think about putting the additional water CO2 and MiniDOT sensors back out. The top MiniDOT and top two water CO2 sensors were removed when the water level was low since they were the above water table at that time. They should be back below the water table again now. We swapped the LI7500 for calibration. Li7500 sn 75H-2176 came down, sn 1594 went up. We loaded the new configuration settings and entered the pressure coefficients. We also restarted the LI7550 box to sync up the LI7700 again. We forgot to write down the readings for the LI7500 before we removed the old head, but the readings with the new head looked fine. LI7500 readings: sn 75H-1594 (up) CO2 432.42 H2O 403.5 T 12.62 P 101.90 SS 97.96 LI7700 readings: CH4: 2.25 → 2.18 RSSI: 71.6 -> 75.9 after cleaning Left at 13:15. |
