Summary: Regular data collection, soil bulk density sampling, sheep in tower footprint

Arrived at 10:50. It was overcast/cloudy and cool with no wind.

Tyler and Heather from Whendee Silverâ€™s lab were at the site to collect soil samples for bulk density. The BD samples that were taken with the soil chemistry samples last time (Nov. 08) were taken at the wrong depth, so they had to resample. There was one pit dug to the North-West of the tower for bulk density samples. One set of bulk density samples was collected down to 60cm depth. The also cored down to 120cm and it was still all sand/clay at that depth (no peat).

There were sheep in the field in tower footprint, probably about 200m west of the tower.

We collected USB GHG data, collected met data, collected soilCO2 data, collected radiation data. The radiation CR10X datalogger was not running when I tried to connect to collect the data. It restarted itself after the data cable was reconnected a couple of times. The dataset stopped on DOY325 around 2am, so we lost about two days of data.

Did not do spectral since it was too cloudy.
