Summary: Regular data collection, wetland ponds and channels flooded

Arrived at 9:15. It was slightly overcast, cool and there was a light breeze. The ponds and channels have filled in with water but the higher elevation flat lands (e.g. around where the tower is) are not flooded. The water level is probably going to stay at this level over the winter to prevent too much erosion of the berms and levees.

We collected USB GHG data and collected met data. One of the soil heat flux plates showed a reading an order of magnitude higher than the other two (22W/m2 vs 2W/m2). We dug up the plate and checked it. It showed some odd behavior when exposed to air and heated with the hands. We checked the wiring and the plate but could not find anything wrong with it. It is SHFP(3) and is connected to port 3HL on the AM32/16. This plate corresponds to the left most set of soil profiles as seen from the tower. After we reburied the plate it was reading 40W/m2. Need to keep an eye on this.

We measured the water level in the well. The water is at 73cm below the top of the well pipe, which puts it at 21cm below ground level at the tower location.
Swapped CF camera card.

Cleaned rain gauge, had been clogged up with bird poop.
We cleaned the radiation and eddy flux sensors. The bottom mirror of the LI7700 seems to have a scratch in it that does not come off. Refilled the wash reservoir, it was a quarter empty.

LI7500 readings:
CO2 433.42 umol/mol
H2O 508.5 mmol/m3
T 12.85 Celsius
P 100.69 kPa
SS 101.07 -> 102.3 after cleaning

LI7700 readings:
CH4: 2.02 -> 2.03
RSSI: 47 -> 81 after cleaning
