Summary: Sheep still upwind, ran cable for rad sensors but did not hook up, did soil respiration, swapped 7500.

I arrived about 11:30 with Dennis, Sam, Daphne and Jorge Perez. The sheep are a little more than halfway across the field moving west to east. There are sheep in the field to the south too. Lots of ground squirrel mounds. Big patches of nettles are sprouting in the field.

We ran an Ethernet and power line in flexible aluminum conduit from the main tower box to the radiometer box. This will give us ten conductors plus a drain. The drill battery was dead so I could put fittings in the boxes and I forgot my wiring diagrams so we did not finish installing the new cable.

We swapped the 7500: sn 75H-2668 went on and sn 75H-2182 came off.
Before swap the 7500 read:
CO2 369.9ppm
H2O 530.7mmol/m
T 8.93C
P 101.6kPa
SS 78.91

After swap the 7500 read:
CO2 401.3ppm
H2O 357.2mmol/m
T 9.33C
P 101.6kPa
SS 102.13

The CO2 and H2O measurements were obviously different before and after the switch. The after numbers (CO2 ~ 400ppm, H2O ~ 350mmol/m) were similar to the CO2 and H2O range seen at other sites that same day. We looked at sn 75H-2182 in the lab and the bottom mirror had bird poop on it.

Sam did soil respiration. Dennis did veg height. UC Davis cleaned the solar panels yesterday.
