Summary: Water level remains low, but filling. Lots of sediment buildup near tower. Installed Forerunner CO2 probe.
East End Wetland 2014-06-26 We arrived about 13:15 PDT. It was warm, sunny, and windy. The water level remains low, but we observed the pumps running full steam and more water in the western part of the wetland. The water being low made the amount of sediment buildup near the tower quite visible. We should rethink the depths of the thermocouple profiles, as the original sediment surface is definitely not the current sediment surface. Downloaded data. Installed Forerunner 2% CO2 probe sn GP20140011 and updated program. It was reading ~300 mV CO2 and rising (1200 ppm), and 3.6 V temperature (30.4 C) upon install. Took water samples. 7500 readings: CO2 = 15.9 mmol m-3 (16.2 after cleaning) H2O = 533 mmol m-3 (485 after cleaning) p = 101.3 kPa t = 26.3 C Diag: 248 (same after cleaning) Sos: 345.4 m s-1 7700 readings: CH4: 1.82 ppm RSSI: 62% (81% after cleaning) Topped off reservoir. MET looked good. Cleaned Rad. |
