Twitchell Rice
2014-06-26

We arrived about 14:15 PDT. Warm and sunny with a nice breeze. The rice is growing steadily. There remains a lot of visible weeds. I checked the tower, swapped the 7500 for a fresh one (removed sn 75H-2182, installed sn 75H-2150), and downloaded data. Sara took a veg height transect while Kathleen did clip plots.

7500 readings after swap:
CO2 = 391 ppm
H2O = 650 mmol m-3
signal strength = 92.6%
p = 101.8 kPa
t = 24.1 C
sos: 348.2 m s-1

7700 readings:
CH4 = 1.85 ppm (same after cleaning)
RSSI = 54% (didn’t record % after cleaning)

Met looked good. Joe met us at the site and added an LED sensor.
