Summary: Regular site visit and portable and permanent towers. Installed forerunner CO2 probe at permanent tower.
| Mayberry 2014-06-26 Portable Tower We arrived at the Low Veg portable tower site at about 10:15 PDT. Downloaded the data. Put bird spikes on sonic. Kathleen took water samples. Sonic N at Low Veg site: 254° N magnetic. Tower height (stationary): 4.1 m above berm CO2: 398 ppm (401 after cleaning) H2O: 669 mmol m-3 (634 after cleaning) signal strength = 90.3% (91.7% after cleaning) t: 24.5 °C p = 101.4 kPa sos = 344.6 m s-1 CH4: 1.95 ppm (2.1 ppm after cleaning) RSSI: 36% (70% after cleaning) Topped off reservoir. Permanent Tower All well. Collected data. Took water samples. Installed forerunner CO2 probe (sn GP20140010) in open water channel 5 cm below surface. Adjusted program to read the CO2 and temp channels from this instrument. The CO2 channel was reading ~770 mV (equivalent to 3080 ppm CO2) which was reasonable given the recent water sample measurements. The temperature channel was reading 3100 mV (equivalent to 23.4 C). 7500 readings: CO2: 390 ppm (same after cleaning) H2O: 700 mmol m-3 (same after cleaning) signal strength = 95.4% (96.2% after cleaning) t: 22.4 °C p = 101.4 kPa sos = 345.5 m s-1 Current 7700 readings: CH4 = 1.95 ppm (same after cleaning) RSSI = 60% (74% after cleaning) Topped off reservoir. Met looked good. Cleaned rad. |
