Summary: Pepperweed looking brown. Standard field work. Heat flux plate 3 reading low.

We arrived at 9:30, it was sunny with a nice breeze from the west. Sara checked the tower, collected moisture point, well depth and veg height. Sara noted that soil heat flux 3 is reading low.
Kathleen measured LAI.
I measured soil respiration and replaced the probe (swapped sn K1340006 for sn G0150037 - both 3%) and box for profile A 16cm depth, which has been reading low lately. I noticed when removing the old box that the cable was loose which may have been the problem. mV values were looking a lot better after the box and probe were switched (from 541mV to 900mV). This new box uses 12V power and outputs in 0-5V. This should be noted in future processing of profile data.
