Summary: Standard field work. LGR not working. Will bring replacement next week.

Laurie, Yanel and I arrived about 09:30 PDT. It was sunny, windy, and cool (20 C). The pepperweed is very flowery and thigh high. I checked the tower while Laurie and Yanel did soil respiration, well depth, moisture point, and spectral. We also tested Joes new LED NDVI sensor over a few surfaces. Iryna and her crew did LAI at the site yesterday.

The LGR pump was gone! I was all ready to conclude that Dennis did it with the wrench in the pasture field when Joe informed me that the large scroll pump he removed from the box at the site was not the LGR pump. Who knew that little black box sitting so inconspicuously in the back could make so much noise? The pump was fine, it just wasnt running when we got there. I tested it by itself and it turned on. I also replaced the fuse in the LGR where it provides power to the pump, although it looked fine. Something is up with the LGR itself. The LGR booted up to the point where the blue progress bar reached the end, then the screen went blank. We shall prepare a replacement in the lab and bring out next week.
