Sherman
2012-11-08

We arrived about 09:15 PST. The weather was cool and breezy, about 14°C. The site has become very bare. The pepperweed plants are wispy husks of former bushy jubilance. There is, however, a new albeit sparse mat of short green grass. Joe’s electric fence around the power pole is performing grandly.

I checked the tower, cleaned the instruments, and downloaded the data and autocam pics. Sara did soil respiration and spectral. No LAI since the only living vegetation was about 3 cm tall.

LGR readings: 08:16, 23.62 °C, 142.0 Torr (not adjusted), 13.86 us, 10 Hz, 1.88 ppm

7500 readings:
CO2: 16.45 mmol m-3
H2O: 405 mmol m-3
P: 101.48 kPa
diag: 248 (247 after cleaning spider webs out of the path)

MET and SoilCO2 data streams looked good.
