Summary: Got the truck started and moved to location two, put solar panel back on tule Tower, collected data.

I arrived about 10am PDT with Jaclyn. It was cool, clear and sunny with a strong breeze increasing from the west. The Wetland looks very dark green compared to the surrounding fields that are yellowing. Frank met us there for a look see and then went to Sherman to work on the mercury trailer.

We were able to jumpstart the truck. I guess both the original (recharged) battery and the solar system battery were not strong enough to start the truck. Next time we can install a new battery in the truck and see how that works. The truck is now in location two to the north. I did not have a compass to position the sonic but did my best to turn it to north. We swapped the USB memory on the box. The solar panels where dusty with pollen. I brushed them off. I added bird spikes to the LI7500A.

Sara and Carina met us at the main tower after finishing their work at Sherman. They went on to Twitchell while we worked on the main tower. Sara said the LI7700 RSSI was 29 and I cleaned the mirror but didn’t see the resulting RSSI. We collected data from the Tule tower and swapped the USB memory on the 7550 box. We also moved the images from the autocam. I added bird spikes to the LI7500A.

I added a nut and bolt to the autocam’s folding arm.

We installed a new solar panel (40W) on the Tule tower. It’s bolted to the top, north rail. I did not check to see if the panel was charging the system.

Jaclyn cleaned the DO sensors.

I dusted off the main solar panels before we left.
