Summary: Cleaned 7700 mirrors, filled reservoir.

2012-01-25 I arrived about 8:00PST. It was cool, clear and sunny with little to no wind. The wetland continues to look brown, little to no change since last week. I checked to make sure the 7500 was running and it was. The 7700 RSSI was nearly zero and the washer reservoir was empty. The top mirror had a lot of staining from water, probably dirty from accumulated dust on top of the head. After cleaning the top mirror RSSI rose to 40%, and after cleaning the bottom mirror it rose to 88%. I filled the reservoir with DI water at the site saving the water I brought with me from Twitchell. There is still some DI water at Mayberry, but it needs refilling. Otherwise things looked okay. I saw five sandhill cranes fly by while I was there. |
