Summary: Standard data collection, no hand held salinity due to equipment sharing, a bunch of wasps in the data logger box, standing little is pretty flat.
East End 2025-03-07 I arrived at 13:45 PST. It was clear, sunny and dry with a cold wind. I could see snow in the Sierras. The levees and upland areas are super green, but the wetland is still mostly brown. Even the triangular tules have yellowed. The tower and solar panels seem super high now that the dead reeds have all been pushed down to about the height of the railing on the boardwalk. The water level was 54cm at 13:50 PST. I collected the miniDot data but didn't have fresh desiccant. I also didn't have the conductivity meter because it was with Daphne and Arman today. I collected the met, flux and phenocam data. I had to set up a new logger connection on the TZ/VR laptop and collected the data by date (from 2/19). The 7500 read: 437.8ppm CO2, 249.9mmol/m3 H2O, 22.2C, 101.8kPa, 95.8SS The 7700 read: 1.97ppm CH4, 27.5RSSI - 2.03ppm CH4, 69.0RSSI after cleaning. The wash reservoir was empty - I refilled it. There have been some leaks here recently, but I think the problem was a spider web on the upper mirror. I didn't notice any leaks from the wash box. I cleaned the eddy sensors and the radiometers. There were a bunch of wasps in the data logger box that all hid behind the back board or under the data logger. I didn't have any moth balls to share with them. I left at about 14:20 PST. |
