Sherman Island: 2011-01-28 12:00:00 (DOY 28)
Author: Joe Verfaillie

Summary: Pulled last of Dynamax soil moisture equipment. Soil CO2 23x still having problems.

Sherman

I arrived with Jaclyn about 12:00. It was cold and overcast with little wind. The cows have been fed south of our tower site and are hanging out there and around the tower. The vegetation is cropped close to the ground. There is almost no standing litter.

The soil CO2 23x is acting up again. The final data looked bad, but it connected and the instantaneous values seemed reasonable. After resetting the data logger, its clock was way off. I reloaded the program, reset the clock and left it disconnected from the computer.

We dug out the last of the failing Dynamax soil moisture probes. I disconnected the power and serial line in the main box and we removed the data logger and multiplexor.

The temperature from the CNR1 still looks bad. I checked the wiring and didn’t find any problems.

I copied data and swapped cards.
