Summary: CR10x swapped for CR23x, conductivity added. LI7700 removed for return.

I arrived about 1pm with Jaclyn. It was cold and overcast with little wind. There were quite a few ducks on the water that mostly flew off as we made our way to the tower. There was not much change in water level or vegetation. We did see a few green tules near the main levee to the south.

Power was okay: 12.4V, 2.0 solar A, 0.9 load A (after Li7700 removed)

I removed the LI7700 to return to Licor.

I tried to swap out the Gill PCI with the RS422/232 converter, but discovered that I have to supply power to the converter (this is usually done through the full serial port on a computer).

We swapped out the misbehaving CR10X for the CR23X I borrowed from Goldstein’s lab. Jaclyn installed the conductivity sensor along with moving the existing water pressure, six thermocouples and DO to the 23x. The pH probe was also installed but seem to give a funny reading (-8), so we brought it in to test some more.

Jaclyn scouted a location for a remote data logger to get a better sampling of tule and shallow and deep water. The distance to this location is about 65m.
