Summary: Quick stop to install picam for intercomparison, windy day

Joe and I arrived at 11:40 PST (12:40 PDT). It was a warm, sunny, and windy day. Fortunately, the dead litter around the tower blocked most of the wind. Unfortunately, the mosquitoes were a nuisance. The water level here is still high; the staff gauge read 84cm.

This was quick stop to install the picam sn RPI0W-006 that we had just removed at West Pond. Joe installed this camera on the 7550 mount and adjusted its view. I downloaded its West Pond photos and changed the file name from “WP_picam_” to “EE_picam_”. I saved the settings, restarted the pi, and confirmed that the file name change was saved.

This newly installed picam is a bit taller than the older picam sn RPI0W-005 which is tied near the top of the scaffolding. I changed the file name from “EE_picam_” to “old_EE_picam_”. We will run an intercomparison for a few months and then removed the older picam. The view angle of this camera is a bit low now that the plants are growing taller. This camera’s color also seems to be more washed out than other cameras.

We left at 12:20 PST (13:20 PDT).
