Summary: Calibrated 7700, water level dropping, gate physically locked but same combo code
2024-01-11 Bouldin Corn Joe and I arrived at 14:50 PST for an off-cycle visit to calibrate the 7700. It was a cool, sunny winter day. The gate was locked with a physical chain and padlock, but the code is the same as it was for the digital keypad. The water on the field is lower than our last visit; there’s no longer any standing water under the tower and the lake only comes up to the tower’s west edge. I kept getting whiffs of fetid something or the other. Joe checked the four turnbuckles: he tightened the SE one just slightly and all of the other ones were fine. We calibrated the LI-7700 sn TG1-0357. After the calibration, we returned the spiky hat and the wash sprayer to their proper locations. The optics RH was 9%, so we did not flush the headspace or swap drierite afterwards. I didn't download the data but checked that the real-time met data looked ok and the GHG logging status was ok. The 7500 read: 441ppm CO2, 221mmol/m3 H2O, 14.4C, 102.2kPa, 99SS—99 after cleaning The 7700 read: 2.06ppm CH4, 64RSSI – 70 after cleaning We left at 15:30 PST and admired the many blackbirds flying about. |
