Summary: Calibrated 7700, HMP fan dead--swapped, 7550 box open but seems ok

Joe and I arrived at 13:35 PST. This is an off-cycle visit to calibrate the 7700 and do some maintenance. It was a cool, breezy, sunny winter day. The staff gauge read 61cm.
The 7550 box was wide open when we arrived, but it was dry inside and seemed to be working. I downloaded the GHG data and confirmed the number and size of files were reasonable. Joe used canned air to blow some long-dead ants out of the box. He put in two medium desiccant packs and closed the box.

We calibrated LI-7700 sn TG1-0423. After the calibration, we returned the spiky hat (lots of ladybugs inside) and the wash sprayer to their proper locations. The optics RH was 23%, so we also flushed the headspace until it was down to about 9% and Joe swapped in a bottle with fresh drierite. I didn't download the met data but checked that the real-time data looked ok.

The HMP fan was dead so Joe swapped it with our last thin fan. This site still has an HMP60 so we should make sure we have a spare HMP to swap in—maybe the one still running at WP.

The met box could use an improved 12V power strip with 12 plugs. The current power strip has two different types of plugs that are wired in reverse. The mount is also not quite the right size for the metal backboard so it’s only mounted on one side.

The 7500 read: 427ppm CO2, 230mmol/m3 H2O, 16.9C, 102.1kPa, 99SS – 100 after cleaning
The 7700 read: 2.06ppm CH4, 70RSSI – 79 after cleaning
