Bouldin Corn: 2022-05-11 13:45:00 (DOY 131)
Author: Daphne Szutu
Others: Carlos
Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, corn may be planted, changed eddy clock +1min, removed some weeds from under/around the tower, reset 7500 SS from 106 to 100
2022-05-11 Bouldin Corn Carlos and I arrived at 13:45 PDT. It was breezy, mild, and partly cloudy with mostly cumulus clouds. Many clouds over the Sierras. The field has furrows, so I think the corn is planted. No corn coming back up yet though. I collected met, cam, and USB GHG data. I downloaded the PA data and cycled its power. I downloaded the FD data and cleared its memory. I downloaded the IRT data by swapping the microSD card and using CardConvert to convert the fast data to TOB1 and the slow data to TOA5. I changed the eddy clock +1min from 13:14 PST to 13:15 PST to match the laptop time and restarted logging afterwards. I also changed the phenocam clock +1min from 13:20 PST to 13:21 PST to match the laptop time. LI-7500 readings: CO2 370ppm, H2O 613ppm, T 21.5C, P 102.2kPa, SS 103 --> 106 after cleaning (reset to 100) LI7700 readings: CH4 1.9ppm, RSSI 31 --> 74 after cleaning Carlos cleaned flux and rad sensors. The reservoir was ½ full; refilled. I thought the FD chamber needed to be further stabilized today, but it actually seemed ok so we didn’t make changes. Carlos dug up some weeds from under and around the tower. The upper boardwalk had blown to the east side of the tower; we pushed it back to the west side. Tyler arrived shortly before we left to check on the field and organize some of the tubing and wires in prep for training a new graduate student on the project. We left at 14:40 PDT. |
