Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, windy, measured staff gauge-soil offset, installed Stardot camera for camera intercomparison, no sonic data starting evening of 2021-06-02

Ariane and I arrived at 10:35 PDT. It was breezy and mild with mostly clear skies and a super clear view of Mt. Diablo. The wetland is mostly green and the staff gauge read 70 cm. Ari measured the staff gauge-soil offset at the tower: the bottom of the staff gauge is 7cm below the soil surface.

The floating boom had blown all the way to the west. Ari got in the water to move it back so it was about perpendicular with the scaffolding and tightened the clamp.

I downloaded met, camera, USB GHG, miniDOT, and picam data. Ari cleaned flux and rad sensors and also rinsed off the sensing area of the miniDOT. I topped off the wash reservoir. I swapped desiccant for the miniDOT and water level sensor.

I checked the conductivity sensor as part of its routine check every 3 months—the orifice was clean.

We installed Stardot camera sn 0030F4D214A4 to expand our Picam vs. Canon intercomparison. We attached the enclosure on the wooden post below the Canon enclosure. I changed the CR1000 sn 38212 IP address from 192.168.2.1 to 192.168.2.100 to work with the phenocam script. The subnet mask looked correct (255.255.255.0) and FTP was already enabled with the correct username and password. I installed an ethernet switch and a NL115 sn ?? in the MB datalogger box. I drilled a new hole in the datalogger box to accommodate the power and ethernet cables from the Stardot, especially the head of the ethernet cable. To prevent the fiberglass shavings from blowing away, I scooped them up and put them in my pocket. That was a mistake because I had fiberglass shavings irritating my leg for the rest of the day. Don’t do this in the future.

We confirmed the Stardot camera had power and adjusted its view so that it was about 2/3 land and 1/3 sky.

There was an aluminum ladder here that we tried to pack to bring to HS, but the ladder was too long for our truck bed and we didn’t bring any straps or bungee cords.

LI-7500 readings:
CO2 414ppm
H2O 493ppm
T 18.5C
P 99.7kPa
SS 99-->100 after cleaning
LI7700 readings:
CH4 1.98ppm
RSSI 44--> 79 after cleaning

We left at 12:10 PDT.

Looking at the data back in the lab, there is something wrong with the sonic starting 2021-06-02 21:08:39. Data was still getting written to the GHG files, but u, v, and z do not change. Maybe a wire or connection was blown loose in the wind.
