Summary: Nice day, swapped 7500s, added collar to north FD chamber and increased its measurement frequency.

I arrived at about 10:00. It was mild with patchy high thin clouds and a cool breeze. There are still some puddles on the road and the water hole is now full. The grass is dense but mostly 1-2cm probably due to grazing. Inside the fences the tallest grasses are more like 10-15cm but it is patchy and competing with more standing litter.

I did the well, Moisture Point and spectra measurements. The light was a little variable so there are some up/down pairs of spectra. I collected the eddy, met, FD chamber and camera data. I swapped the 7500: sn 0418 came off and sn 75H-2667 went on. Pressure coefficients were update and the 7550 box reset.

0418 read: 436.8ppm CO2, 230.9mmol/m3 H2O, 23.6C, 99.5kPa
2667 read: 431.0ppm CO2, 271.4mmol/m3 H2O, 23.6C, 99.7kPa

I added a collar to the new FD chamber near the old North soil CO2 profile. There was one green sprout coming up here inside the collar â€“ I should check the other FD collars next time. I also change the measurement frequency from once every 10min to once every 5min. This chamberâ€™s pump is a lot quieter than the others so it was hard to hear that it was working.

I cleaned the radiometers â€“ the incoming LW and SW were dirty with bird poop.

I did not go to the pond.
