Summary: Water levels coming up after last storm, installed FD chamber, lots of pushy cows around, went to the pond.

I arrived at about 13:50. It was clear sunny and warm with little to no wind. There was a big storm about two weeks ago that brought lots of rain and wind. The road was nearly dry in most places but the water hole was almost full having been dry three weeks ago. Lots of mama and young cows around. A big tan mama cow followed me inside the cow fence. I had to clap my hands and yell at her to chase her back out. Then she stood just outside the fence glaring at me. The grass is still only about 5cm tall on average but might be denser than last time. The cows are maybe helping to keep it shorter but even inside the fences itâ€™s mostly not very tall.

I installed FD Chamber sn FD20200001 near the old north soil CO2 profile. I have made a solar shade for this chamber from plastic drain pipe and a piece of mirrored Mylar. We will see how its temperature compares to the existing unshielded one. I forgot the plastic collar so this chamber is just pressed to the bare ground.

I collect the Eddy, met, FD, camera, well, spectra and moisture point data.
The 7500 read: 431.2ppm CO2, 461.0mmol/m3 H2O, 24.2C, 99.8kPa, 100.6SS

I went to the pond. The stream was full but the road was dry and easily passable in my small car. The pond level has come up by about a meter.

I left at about 15:20
