Joe and I arrived at 8:45 PST. It was a sunny and cool morning with hazy horizons. The PurpleAir PM2.5 AQI was around 150. The Rio Vista AirNow station had an AQI of around 90. There were many strings of geese in the air, our field is flooded, and hunters were hanging about the duck club.

This was a work trip to maybe move the tower into the field, but we decided it wasn’t worth dragging the tower over uneven ground into the water. There was water above the ground right up to the western edge of the scaffolding. The water was at least 30cm high in some places and tested the heights of our boots.

Joe fixed the 4-way radiometer, which had been loose on one side. We dropped an allen wrench under the tower, maybe 7/32 size? We moved the ground sensors (soil moisture, thermocouples, SHF plates) from under the tower into the field. The soil moisture probes are stuck in vertically at the soil surface and SHF at about -2am. Everything is in 20-30cm of water. We also cleaned and moved the PL Arables from the edge of the field into the field. They are as close to their last field location as we could get with the GPS on the phone. They are now about 218cm above the ground.

I downloaded FD and NFD chamber data. I cleared the FD chamber after download. We were thinking to move these into the field too but because of the deep water left them where they were under the tower.

Joe cleaned flux and rad sensors. I downloaded met and USB GHG data but forgot to swap the camera card. This phenocam clock also needs to be updated next time—date is currently set to April.

The CH4 RSSI improved from 40 to 80 after cleaning. CO2 SS was 103 after cleaning.

We left at 10:00 PST.

Looking at the data back in the lab, there was a power outage on 2020-12-06 from 10:30 to 14:30.
