Summary: Ewes/lambs on our field, spectral measurements, trimmed alfalfa under tower
| 2020-12-09 Bouldin Alfalfa Joe and I arrived around 10:15 PST. It was a sunny and cool morning with hazy horizons. There were many strings of geese in the air. The main flock of sheep are still 2 fields to our east, but the ewes/lambs have been moved closer to our tower. We trimmed the alfalfa in our exclosure and cleaned the solar panels. Joe took spectral measurements in grazed, half-grazed and ungrazed areas of the field and cleaned flux and rad sensors. I downloaded met, cam, and USB GHG data. The eddy clock looked ok. I changed the phenocam clock from 10:45 to 10:48. Looking at the data back in the lab, there are no camera photos after Dec 6. I’ll keep an eye on it. LI-7500 readings: CO2 450ppm H2O 390ppm T 12.4C P 102.0kPa SS 97--> 102 after cleaning LI7700 readings: CH4 2.5 ppm RSSI 50-->71 after cleaning We left around 11:30 PST. |
