Camilo, Nicole, Ariane, and I arrived at 9:20. It was an overcast and cool day with a little breeze. The wetland is all brown, but the willow trees are starting to bud. The inlet was off, and the water level was low and will probably remain low until Bruce and Bryan raise the outlets in the spring. The water level was 16 cm.

Ariane started sampling water. Ariane- I collected surface samples at the inlet and downstream of the outlet since these were the only sites that had standing water. Within the wetland the water level was more than 20 cm below the surface. I sampled porewaters starting at -30 cm at the tower, and at sites within the 0.5, 0.8 and 0.9 footprint areas.

Readings at the Tower - 30 cm:
Conductivity: 400 uS
Salinity: 0.3 ppt
pH: 6.12

I measured the water level at the outlets but upstream there was no standing water. At the east outlet, the mud was at 49 cm from the top of the boards, and in the west outlet it was at 40 cm. Downstream the water level was at 52 and 48 cm from the top of the boards, east and west respectively.

Camilo and Nicole cleaned flux and rad sensors. The wash reservoir was Â½ full; I topped it off. I downloaded met, camera, and USB GHG data. The HMP fan was not spinning, so I replaced it with another 12V fan. Thereâ€™s been condensation inside the camera housing in the past month (despite the computer fan blowing inside), so we taped up the vent holes on the bottom of the housing and put in 4 medium indicating desiccant packs.
