Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, measured sonic orientation, clumps of tule still green
| 2020-01-23 Sherman Wetland Camilo, Nicole, Ariane, and I arrived at 15:15. It was an overcast, mild, and calm day. The wetland is all brown, except for clumps of tule which were still completely green. There was some organic matter gunk in the water by the long segment of the boardwalk. The water level was 81 cm. There wasn’t as much otter poop as I expected by Patty’s box. Ariane cleaned flux and rad sensors. I downloaded met, camera, and USB GHG data. PRI_in data had some NANs when we checked it at the last site visit, but it was ok in the past 2 weeks. The reservoir was ½ full; we refilled it. Camilo measured sonic orientation: on the phone compass, it was 29 deg. (Note by Daphne 2021-08-23: I'm not sure if this is correct. Camilo also measured the sonic orientation at the SWTT on 2020-02-06 at 29 deg; Joe later measured the same SWTT sonic at 14 deg. I think something was either off with Camilo's compass app settings or his measurement technique. We probably need to compare with MB or SB sonic data.) LI-7500 readings: CO2 414ppm H2O -531ppm T 13.6C P 102.1kPa SS 98--> 99 after cleaning LI7700 readings: CH4 2.11 ppm RSSI 54--> 85 after cleaning We left at 15:35. |
