I dropped Ariane here around 9:15 to start water samples. I came back at 11:55 to do the regular tower data collection. It was a sunny and breezy day. The water level is still very low, 4 cm. There was lots of cattail fluff in the water by the tower. Last week we ran into Bruce on Twitchell, who said Bryan told him not to add more water to Mayberry because the salinity (of the river water?) was too high.

Ariane collected surface water samples at the tower, the channel to the W of the tower at two locations, inlet (west) and outlet (east of the road). The vegetated areas across the footprint had no standing water. Inlets were closed and boards at the outlets were not installed, however water was not flowing downstream.

Readings at the tower (were the highest compared to the other sampling location):

I downloaded met, USB GHG, cam, and miniDOT data. I swapped the desiccant in the miniDOT. The wash reservoir was empty; I refilled it. Ariane cleaned flux and rad sensors. The fluorometer lens looked relatively clean, although there was lots of gunk on the outside of the water sensors. I collected water samples for Isabel at 12:15 PST.

We left around 14:00 to collect three more water samples, including 1 at the outlet (northeast parcel?) and 1 at the inlet (southwest parcel?). We disturbed an owl multiple times while driving to and fro.
