Summary: Regular data download/cleaning, boardwalk had been blown off tower but no serious damage
2019-12-05 Mayberry Alex, Débora (our visitor from Brazil), and I arrived at 10:35 PST. It was a foggy and cold day. Lots of rain in the past week and more to come this weekend. The boardwalks had been blown about, one was on the opposite side of the scaffolding and one was in the (shallow) water. The floating boom with water sensors had been blown to the east so that it’s pointing more NE, and we decided to leave it as is because it seems to be further into the channel this way. The water level was 15 cm. The tops of the root zone were still out of the water (they were at ~30cm on the staff gauge). Ii downloaded met, camera, and USB GHG data. Alex collected water samples for Isabel at 10:40 PST and cleaned flux and rad sensors. The wash reservoir was half full; we refilled it. LI-7500 readings: CO2 462ppm H2O 585ppm T 12.8C P 100.5kPa SS 92--> forgot to write after cleaning LI7700 readings: CH4 2.4ppm RSSI 36--> forgot to write after cleaning, but >=70 We left around 11:05. |
