Summary: Pick up LGR generator to setup at Twitchell, Larger UPS.

Arrived about 10am PST with Cove and Jaclyn. Clear, sunny, clear, very little wind.

Drove out on to the field. Our lock was not connected properly on the gate to allow both of the other locks to open the gate.

Dropped off Jaclyn and pick up the LGR generator to setup at Twitchell.

Returned to Sherman about 11:30am PST

Cove installed terminal strips in the wood box to better distribute the 12VDC power to the different instruments. We ran power to the soil moisture CR10X and removed its reliance on the solar powered battery. I believe the 12VDC power supply is plugged into a UPS and will not go down if line power fails for a short period. Need to check this and probably a larger UPS would be a good idea.

I installed one of Frank’s three-channel LGR analyzers (FGGA). Cell pressure was low (~120Torr) on both the one-channel and the three-channel analyzers. I replaced the external 2um filter and pressures improved.

I collected all data from the computer, swapped cards on both CR1000s and copy most of the recent data from the isotope analyzer.

Added data logger programs for CR10x’s so that the data will display properly in Loggernet.

Also cleaned filters for the LGR on the permanent tower but it did not improve the low pressure (125Torr). Adjust the bypass valve brought the pressure back to 141.86Torr.
