Bouldin Corn
2019-04-25

I arrived at 9:45 with Daphne and Loreli and Mikaela from Arable. It was warm and sunny with a little breeze. The weeds in the field are all brown from whatever they sprayed last week. The edges of the field have been disked. They are actively plowing fields to the west.

Tyler and Heater arrived shortly after us. Tyler had seven chambers running just in front of their blue box. We talked about clearing things back as far from the field as possible so that they will plant as close up to the scaffolding as possible.

Loreli and Mikaela were there to see the field sites that I send them data for and to install a second Arable device sn A001359. They want to make sure they have uninterrupted data from both the corn and alfalfa sites. We are free now to move our Arable devices to other locations if we want. I’ll talk to Loreli about getting data from their devices.

We collected the data from the purple air being very careful handling the micro SD card. Daphne downloaded the met data. SHF plates #1 and #2 were upside down; she re-installed them with the red side facing up.

Daphne updated the LI-7700 sn TG1-0155 firmware from v1.0.23 to v1.0.27. She set the 7700s IP address to 192.168.2.77 and the laptop to 192.168.2.5.
7700 before upgrade: 2.0ppm CH4, 50RSSI – 89 after cleaning
7700 after upgrade: 1.99ppm CH4, 90RSSI

We swapped the 7500 for cleaning sn 1594 came off and sn 0073 went on. The 7500 mount is missing its washers – swap out next time. After the swap the new config file was uploaded, pressure coefficients updated and box reset. Then the USB drive was not mounted. Daphne moved the data off and reinserted the drive fixing the problem. She checked that the GHG columns were good.
1594 dirty: 420ppm CO2, 664mmol/m3 H2O, 23.7C, 100.8kPa, 99.1SS
1594 clean: 434ppm CO2, 599mmol/m3 H2O, 24.3C, 100.7kPa, 103SS
0073 clean: 431ppm CO2, 596mmol/m3 H2O, 25.6C, 100.7kPa, 100SS

We left at 10:40.
