Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, collected miniDOT, collected live/dead tule biomass, first rains last week, precipitation bucket and camera were missing data - fixed
| 2018-11-28 East End Kyle, Kuno, and I arrived at 13:50. There were patchy and fluffy clouds and mild. It has been raining in the past few days and a large storm is expected later that night. The wetland was 90% brown. The water level was 32 cm. Kyle collected an armful of live tule and an armful of dead tule—extra material for the litter decomposition study. Kuno cleaned flux and rad sensors. We refilled the wash reservoir, and replaced the temporary metal cap with a black plastic cap. I collected met, camera, miniDOT, and USB GHG data and left a mothball in the met box. The precipitation bucket had not recorded any rain b/c I had wired it wrongly after the recent precip bucket test. I rewired it was P2 to P1. There were no photos on the camera card. We called Joe and followed his instructions to turn the camera on (short the 2 orange wires coming out of the camera power button) and then pressed the “print†button to start the timelapse program. We confirmed that the camera was counting towards the next shot. LI-7500 readings: CO2 421ppm H2O 750ppm T 18.8C P 100.9kPa SS 90-->95 after cleaning LI7700 readings: CH4 2.4ppm RSSI 0 --> 77 after cleaning We left at 14:30. |
