2018-09-05 East Pond We arrived at 10:00. It was breezy and sunny with blue skies above but hazy horizons. There are a few more plants coming into the wetland now. The water level was 70 cm. The inlet was running and Alex closed the inlet a ¼ turn on our way out. We installed the raspberry pi camera for the 2nd time; it is connected to a DC-DC power converter inside the datalogger enclosure which converts the incoming power to 5V. We connected to it via wifi using the laptop and adjusted the camera view so it sees both open water and vegetation, and is about 1/3 sky and 2/3 land. I collected met, camera, USB, miniDOT, and HOBO data. Sam cleaned the flux and rad sensor. The 7700 bird spikes were squashed down, so Sam pulled them up again. Alex cleaned the solar panels and trimmed the tules around/inside the tower. We refilled the wash reservoir (it was 1/3 empty) and left the cover open for now b/c there were many wasps inside. LI-7500 readings: CO2 401ppm H2O 692ppm T 23.0C P 101.7kPa SS 95-->98 LI7700 readings CH4 2.0ppm RSSI 48ppm --> 61ppm after cleaning We left at 10:50. |
