Summary: Very hazy sky, standard field work, its a jungle out there
| Bouldin Corn 2018-08-23 I arrived at 10:50 with Daphne and Kuno. The gate was closed so we came through the fields from BA. It was mild and breezy with a very hazy, pale blue sky. The corn and weeds near the tower are about 3m tall. This winter I think we need to work on weed suppression around our equipment. Maybe we could use some kind of weed barrier fabric. I collected the data. The 7500 read: 396.4ppm CO2, 623.0mmol/m3 H2O, 21.3C, 101.3kPa, 86.9SS – 88.2 after cleaning The 7700 read: 1.95ppm CH4, 35.0RSSI – 90.3 after cleaning I did not check the wash reservoir but most of the other sites didn’t take much water so it should be okay. Daphne took LAI. Use BC0823B. BC0823 has too low LAI. Kuno did veg height and declared the corn unfit to eat. The HMP60 fan had stopped. Cleaning it got it going again. On the way out the gate was open. We left at 11:20 |
