Summary: Soil sampling campaign (aug) part I
| We arrived at the site around 14:00. We took two transects (T1 to the north, T2 south) of 5 samples each (P1-P5) at three depths (0-15cm, 15-30cm, and 30-60cm) 5m apart going west starting from the first corn rows running parallel away from the tower. The soil was very dry and dusty. We hit the dry peat layer below at around 60cm. The corn also looked dry and was starting to turn yellow. We left around 14:40. |
