Sherman Wetland: 2018-08-23 14:55:00 (DOY 235)
Author: Joe Verfaillie
Others: Daphne, Kuno
Summary: Very hazy, wash reservoir empty, swapped HMP45 for longer cable, changed CR1000 program
Sherman Wetland 2018-08-23 I arrived at 14:55 with Daphne. It was mild, sunny and windy with very hazy skies. We could not even see Mt. Diablo. Lots of lambs quarter growing in the higher areas. The ground around the tower is water free. The water level was 54cm on the staff gauge. Daphne collected the data. The 7500 read: 390ppm CO2, 690mmol/m3 H2O, 23.8C, 102.2kPa, 105SS The 7700 read: 2.01ppm CH4, 35RSSI – 70 after cleaning. The wash reservoir was empty probably due to spider webs in the 7700 path – refilled. I swapped out the HMP45 with another one with a longer cable. HMP45 sn W0730036 came off and sn T2130005 went up. The mount was moved from the southwest corner at the level of the top boardwalk back to its original location at the base of the 7500 post. The U-bolt needed two extra larger nuts on each side to expose enough threads. After collecting the data Daphne updated the CR1000 program moving the HMP45 to two differentials at the end of the mux and adding the corrected conductivity to the output table. After the swap AirT = 22.9C and RH = 54.6%. The HMP45 is always on, its control wire connected to 5V. We left at 15:45 |
