Summary: fixed camera so that files are written to CF card

We arrived at 9:30. It was cold and windy, sunny and hazy. The wetland is continuing to fill in.

Camera files have not been saving to the card for a few weeks, since the CR1000 had its hang up. When we arrived, the ethernet lights on the CR1000 CF module were off, and the lights of the camera ethernet port on the switch was off. We swapped the ethernet cable connecting the CF module and the switch with the cable we bring with the field laptop, but there were still no ethernet lights on the CF module, so the ethernet cable was not the problem.

We powered off the CR1000 and detached the CF module. The connection looked fine, so we reattached it to the CR1000 and powered it on. The CF module ethernet lights then came on! Seems like there was something wrong with the network that was reset when we detached and reattached the CF module.

Joe checked the ftp settings in the Device Config utility, which looked fine. He manually wrote a camera file to the CF card, which worked, so the camera should be writing files again.

We left at 9:45.
