Summary: checking on possibly raising eddy sensors, problems with LI-7550 box - had to reload/recreate config settings.

Sherman Wetland
2018-04-19

I arrived at 9:05 with Daphne and Sam. It was clear and sunny with a strong cold breeze from the west. This wetland looks very green as there is very little dead material from previous years.

The eddy sensors could be raised up to about 1.2m higher. I will have to splice that length of cable on to the LI-7700 power cable and the sonic power cable. The wash box will also have to be moved closer or higher and Patty’s tubing will need to be longer. The mounting for the post will have to be changed so that it can be lowered for cleaning.

Sam cleaned the sensors and Daphne collected the data. After we got back to the lab, there were no photos on the camera card. We should update the CR1000 OS and check the camera ftp scripts to make sure files are getting written to the card.

The 7500 read: 416ppm CO2, 390mmol/m3 H2O, 13.2C, 101.8kPa, 101SS
The 7700 read: 1.9ppm CH4, 48RSSI – 78 after cleaning
The wash reservoir was nearly empty – refilled
When we swapped the USB drive on the 7550 it didn’t mount at first. We reset the 7550 but then there was a clock sync error so we reset the 7550 a second time. After the second reset the 7550 lost all of its config settings. We reloaded the last cal config for the head from 3/5. Then we had to reconnect the 7700 and redo all the other site config settings. Afterwards the readings were the same as before the mess.

We left at 9:30.
