We arrived at 13:05. It was sunny, clear, breezy, and warm. The alfalfa had been recently mowed and there were bales in the field. Kyle took 3 bale samples to get harvest moisture percentage.

Kyle took soil respiration measurements. The soil respiration samples (collar 6) had huge efflux (~16) despite being very dry--maybe groundhog poop?

Elke did spectral measurements. For measurement 51 and the 5 or 6 measurements before that were taken before the optical cable was connected; discard these measurements.

I collected met, soil CO2, Licor GHG, and camera data and cleaned the 7500. I updated the LI-7550 sn AIU-1557 software from v8.0.0 to v8.7.5.

I updated the met CR1000 sn 47108 O.S. to v31.08 using the new, blue serial-USB converter. The previously OS was probably v24. I resent the program, AlfalfaTower_20170510.CR1. I updated the IP address to 192.168.2.1 and enabled FTP with username Tower and the usual password.

Elke cleaned the rad sensors and precip bucket and tipped the bucket a few times ~12.26 datalogger time. The precip bucket does not have a screen.
